The Road to LA eBook Gina Buchanan Reviews
Even though I am an adult, I was chosen to read this book in trade for a review and I'm glad I was chosen. I expected it to be entirely predictable but instead found myself up late finishing the book far faster than normal. It's the perfect gift for your bibliophile teen reader that you want to be remembered for giving them a book that relates to teens of today and pulls them from the over-written realm of vampires and werewolves.
The story pulls you in quickly and I was able to relate to the friendships as well as the life of high school students where one receives the golden ticket in the deck of life. It includes true feelings and how life in high school is (I have a daughter in college that graduated last year), both the good and the bad are included. It also is dead on with the rock and roll bad boy lifestyle and the girls that go for the bad boys of rock.
I hope to see the author continue to write books as a series with the main characters as they grow up and I'll be right there ready to lose sleep reading them as well!
I loved this book. I am hoping for a sequel. The background on the characters and then the ending was so good
It kept me engaged all the way through.
What girl doesn't dream of dating a rock star? The Road to L.A. lets you live the dream, taking you down the bumpy road to fame and love. Carly and Jake are a fun follow and worth the read. Gina Buchanan successfully wrote a sweet escape.
I like the way the story moved along. I would have given it five stars except I felt the ending was rushed. I will read more from this author.
This was just OK for me. Not much happened in this story. More along YA read.
If I knew that this was a YA/NA romance, I wouldn't have gotten it. 80% of the book is filled with high school drama, no, I mean it. 80% of this book takes place when the characters are in high school.
This was a great story. The characters and their friends' personalities were clearly identified. The story is a clear example of having everything in front of you and not recognizing it. A wonderful read for anytime.
